Over on Inventory Full, Bhagpuss dives into their latest Stars Reach pre-alpha test, squeezing in 45 minutes of exploration and experimentation before Beryl the dog declared it was time for hallway football. Despite the short session, this test proved to be one of the smoothest and most immersive yet, with no crashes, fewer mobs, and the surprising realization that turning off Discord voice chat made the game much more engaging.

During the session, Bhagpuss explored the potential of mining on planets rather than in space, discovering materials like chalk, limestone, and even mysterious natural glass. Using the Gravity Mesh to scale obstacles, they managed to escape a deep cavern system—only to meet an unfortunate end via a misstep with tailings. Undeterred, they recovered their gravemarker and turned their focus to completing a map survey, scaling rock spires, hopping between survey points, and marveling at unexpected environmental details.

Though a character wipe looms ahead, Bhagpuss is excited to jump back into testing, perhaps with a cat-person character next time—especially after some amusing commentary from Bhagpuss.
